Tim Lott, Acting CIO, Carleton University
BIO - Tim Lott joined Carleton University in 2014 to lead the university’s Cyber Security program. He was appointed Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) in October 2017. He is a member of a number of security organizations, and currently holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Prior to Carleton University, Tim held a variety of IT-related positions spanning three decades, from a small IT based company to leading operations and security teams at Nortel Networks and Bell Canada. While at Bell, he held security governance roles, including IT security oversight of the network and telephony infrastructure of the 2010 Olympic Games.F.
